Microsoft Teams is experiencing issues, with thousands reporting problems sending messages, including delays 🤣
@nixCraft old classic

@DM_Ronin to be fair, microsoft software sucked long before GPT was ever invented

@nixCraft

@Argyle13 buen alivio. ¿A qué ecosistema te vas?

@Argyle13 @antonio

CryptPad: end-to-end encrypted collaboration suite

CryptPad: end-to-end encrypted collaboration suite

@Argyle13 yo uso Infomaniak y contentísimo.
@antonio pues guay tener feedback!!! Gracias

@nixCraft I’m pretty sure the fire, in some form, has been there for years, since before AI coding was a thing.
@tirifto @nixCraft possibly when they laid off all the testers about a decade ago
@nixCraft Thankful to have today off then...
@nixCraft Teams was garbage way before the advent gen AI 😉
@nixCraft No, that’s just usual teams performance.
@nixCraft Microsoft Teams is experiencing message delays and delivery issues, with thousands of reports logged. Incidents like this are a reminder that even mature platforms depend on complex systems where failures can cascade, especially as AI features scale alongside core infrastructure.
@nixCraft Oh for a craft to nix #TechBros...
@nixCraft I don’t think it’s fair to blame that on AI. The humans involved have been quite able to cause downtime and random breakage for years.
@david_chisnall @nixCraft
Do you mean AI-mesmerized humans?
@nixCraft be patient, microsoft is such a small ending company, they are doing their best with what they can

@nixCraft

They need more AI code

@GhostOnTheHalfShell @nixCraft It's going to take a lot of fireworks to clean this place up https://youtu.be/xLYoTewi2YY

@vrtxd @nixCraft

It’s an unsettling cartoon

It’s unironically how the United States is being run right now

@nixCraft Would seem very risky to entrust precision activities like coding to Ai that is characterised by its fallibilities.
@nixCraft I think you could post this daily and not worry about being wrong

@nixCraft

Microsoft Teams is experiencing issues, with thousands reporting problems sending messages, including delays 🤣

Student said 30% AI code 100% awful and just one more incentive to use Linux
🐧 😆

@nixCraft Code written by cheap prompt engineers, while the real devs are already fired to save costs for CoPilot #2343545666 😂 🙈
@nixCraft
La merde #auxchiottes
Faites comme moi, utilisez Big Blue Button !
@nixCraft Teams sucked arse long before AI, now it's extra embellished with enshittification
@nixCraft hard to belive that this is caused by AI. MS teams was garbage from begining. Maybe it's garbage by design 🤷‍♂️

@nixCraft Huh....

Happens to me with that program all the time and nobody gives a FUCK.

Because I'm using Linux I'm not a human being I guess.

@nixCraft Employer is forcing us to communicate via Teams, because of their subscription or whatever, which means if Teams is not working right now, I cannot communicate with my team. I don‘t see any problem. Getting payed for waiting …. good thing. carry on.

@nixCraft

@bonaventuresoft

Thank goodness I retired before this horror emerged.

Do they also have LLM-generated test cases, or do they just assume that testing isn't needed because it isn't frail humans creating the code?

Do they have LLMs "interviewing" people for requirements?

Will they soon have to "interview" other LLMs who are now doing the jobs that use the systems, as an interim before everything is “AI”, everywhere, all the time?

#AI

@EricLawton @nixCraft @bonaventuresoft

"Do they have LLMs "interviewing" people for requirements? "

To me this is the biggest issue. Its become kind of like contracting out the development. ie.. By the time you have specified the thing in sufficient detail you could just as well have written it yourself.

RE: https://mastodon.social/@nixCraft/115752332738803988

This is, again, a direct consequence of the mass layoffs of thousands of engineers so the c-suite can line their pockets with stock buybacks instead of paying people. The labor class that's running scared because they can be fired on a whim is just icing on their cake.

@nixCraft How can they tell it's broken?

@nixCraft

Teams is a real piece of work.

@nixCraft It is Saturday. People should be spending their weekend with loved ones, not at work, anyways.
@nixCraft EVERY one of my Teams meetings this week "sorry, things are weird, I can't share this for some reason." "Hi, is anyone hearing me?" "Okay, this is frozen for some reason."
Me: Yeah, MS is vibecoding.
Microsoft confirms Teams is down and messages are delayed

Microsoft Teams is experiencing issues, with thousands reporting problems sending messages, including delays.

BleepingComputer
@nixCraft Plot twist: 70% of the code is to blame because Microsoft programmers get paid for their work and nothing else
