as a trans woman i am really sick of all of the toxicity, bitterness, and outright transphobia i see within the trans community - especially since so much of it seems to be from my trans sisters & directed at the rest of the community. mastodon has generally been better in that regard, presumably since it attracts less aggressive, reactionary folk, but i have still seen some of it brought here.

i posted this on bluesky as well and immediately got a reply from someone suggesting that maybe the article was about "trans MRAs" (their words) getting their feelings hurt by women on the internet, which

1. is a terrible thing to jump to in response to an example of a trans woman misgendering a trans man online

2. can be easily disproved by simply going to the page yourself and scanning it, which takes thirty seconds, tops!

so apparently a trans woman tried to get the wikipedia article about the discrimination of trans men deleted, then when she received pushback, snuck in a "you will never be a man" comment.

then, when she was confronted about it, she apologized for her actions being "stupid and immature" (but not transphobic, which is what they were actually were) and added that she's a trans woman as if that makes her actions any less shitty
