#Republican Sen #ChuckGrassley is guiding #PamBondi & is essentially testifying on her behalf in his “questioning” of her.
They are making a huge deal of so called operation “#ArcticFrost” - this was cell phone activity data retrieval from around the #Jan6 #insurrection including the phones of members of #Congress. The subpoena was discussed at the time as a wide net it didn’t specify Congress members but said all cells is the area, so, duh. The retrieval did not include message or call content.

Sen #SheldonWhitehouse (D-RI) asked #PamBondi about #DOJ’s decision to drop the investigation into #TomHoman, who was recorded in Sept 2024 accepting a bag of $50k in cash in an undercover FBI investigation. “What became of the $50,000?” he asked. Bondi refused to answer the questions, then attacked Whitehouse by demanding to know why his campaign accepted donations from Reid Hoffman co-founder of linked who has donated to multiple Dem campaigns, Republicans tenuously linked Hoffman to Epstein.

The #FBI made an audio recording of the Sept 2024 meeting with #TomHoman, as part of an investigation which #Trump #DOJ & #FBI officials closed earlier this year. A White House propagandist denied Homan took the money, & Homan has denied criminal wrongdoing.

That said, the judicial branch should of course hold those breaking the law (committing high treason, even) accountable. Once the rule of law has been restored. Which requires a purge operation. Not a political one; a lawful one.
