The platform is a place for people to post about hate crimes they want to commit, post slurs and otherwise hate their fellow man. It's not a discussion forum about the best software, it's nothing but racists left.

That's part of why people post outlandish stories, because engagement gets them views and clicks. It's the YouTube algorithm problem on steroids.

LinkedIn might also be useful as a jobmarket. I haven’t had success there. What I’ve seen is:
1) job offerings that are not real but for marketing
2) 3rd party head hunters that try to match people with job offerings where I ask myself how in the world they think I would fit a position.

Kevin Granade@iamlayer8 I've had success with the job market in the past but I checked recently and the job search doesn't even work any more. Filtering for specifically flagged attributes simply doesn't work.
If I have to manually scroll past 20 postings that I've clearly excluded for every posting that meets the bare minimum requirements I have, that's not fit for purpose.

@nixCraft I dumped LinkedIn as soon as MS announced they were buying it. Reading this thread shows me that I did the right thing, for the right reasons. MS ruins everything it touches. When I retired I was no longer forced to use any MS products. That's been like Heaven.
