#PennedPossibilities 703 — Does your antagonist (or your villain) have any noticeable scars? If so, what are their stories?

She is incapable of having scars. Despite being injured, sometimes grievously, many times. She doesn't even have stretch lines from giving birth, nor does anything sag (or will it ever do so).

However…

Since I've mentioned it a few times in replies to writer's prompts and tootfics, she has wings, wings she was not born with. One is red feathered, the other blue, and they're not even the same size, which should make flying with them difficult. One MC realizes they're angel wings, one from a man, the other from a woman.

If anything can be considered scars, these are. The story of the whys and wherefores of these "scars" can be read in this eldritch 700 word tootfic I posted on Mastodon:

I didn't mention in the original reply above that her wings include the necessary additional shoulder bones, joints, and flight musculature. Hugging her would be… interesting? Describing day angels is a work in progress. Since I want cover art to depict characters from the story, I'm going to have to figure out how it actually looks. None of this pasted-on angel wing crap you ALWAYS find old paintings, bronze, and sculpture. None of the old masters even tried to do applied anatomy to figure out what an angel would actually look like. Lazy!

If an artist wants to blue sky some anatomy, I'd certainly entertain discussing a commission.

Technically, she has six limbs now, if you didn't realize it—but she's still human! Some characters for whom she is the antagonist would firmly disagree.
