If he would belong to the commission, this could be considered a serious statement of the EU. But from an MEP, it's just something someone does on the playground. I'd rather recommend we strengthen our powers here to resist, in case that country over there considers to invade another country again like they did back then with Vietnam or Afghanistan.

@Zoidtes @EUCommission I hate to break it to you, we are all in the wrong century for isolationism to be a viable path to our own security. The 18th Century is not where we are now.
Isolation is a great tool to bring a country down from its high horse. Isoltion hits a bit more in the guts, when the world used to be "Globaised".
Back then you were isolated without my intention, since information technology has us connected much more than ever before.
But yeah you are right, Afghanistan was so isolated and the US still invaded it.
Actually it's funny to consider that with all it's pride and power, they still failed to be successful π
