Zoidtes@davidaugust @EUCommission I really, really hope that we Europeans don't have to deal with that island far beyond the pond. The European continent is juat more beautiful and historically richer than the island over there.
I'd rather recommend we strengthen our powers here to resist, in case that country over there considers to invade another country again like they did back then with Vietnam or Afghanistan.

@Zoidtes @EUCommission point of order, and at the risk of being pedantic: the United States become involved in Vietnam in the 1950s after a European power (rhymes with Dance) requested assistance there. 😝

@Zoidtes @EUCommission I hate to break it to you, we are all in the wrong century for isolationism to be a viable path to our own security. The 18th Century is not where we are now.
Isolation is a great tool to bring a country down from its high horse. Isoltion hits a bit more in the guts, when the world used to be "Globaised".
Back then you were isolated without my intention, since information technology has us connected much more than ever before.
But yeah you are right, Afghanistan was so isolated and the US still invaded it.
Actually it's funny to consider that with all it's pride and power, they still failed to be successful 😂
