thanks for posting that. While the decision who to vote for is a personal one, everyone should agree to keep the Nazis - afd and including (at least a huge part of) cdu - out of the government.@Gargron How is the weather today in Germany?
Remember; Brexit partially happened because the weather was too nice and young people (more inclined to vote 'No') went lingering outdoors.
@Gargron (As a non-German) Agreed, but strategically I'd advocate more against BSW than AfD at this point. The far right is in and at second place anyways and a concerted effort in messaging might keep them down a couple of seats at most.
Meanwhile whether or not BSW get 4.9% or 5.0% decides the fate of 36 Bundestag seats from going either all to the populist pro-Russia anti-environment crazies - or being split between the one crazy, one crazy-cooperative and 3-4 normal parties.
Hi @Gargron
While I heartfully approve your toot, I think you should act accordingly and reconsider the federation with Threads.
With Trump in the White House, nazis are on the loose and tech CEOs are promoting so called "free speech".
This applies to Mark Zuckerberg, CEO of Meta (which owns Threads), who advocates for "masculine energy".
LGBT+ people, who fled from that cesspit formerly known as Twitter because of harassment, might be targeted by unmoderated messages sent through Threads.
As an instance admin, I feel concerned by the issue of major "central nodes" of Mastodon federating with private owned services having a political agenda.
