Bernie-or-buster talks about looking back on her choice not to vote in 2016.

@jcrabapple
You need to tag all the #GenocideJoe people on this, because yes, we've been through this before: "both candidates are the same", but they won't be for all the #gay, #transgender, #disabled, #black, #immigrant, #anarchist, #Ukrane, or #palestinian people who these people are talking about throwing under the bus over "principles".

No one has ever changed the election system with "#boycot the vote" campaigns, they've only allowed people who want to make it worse to take more power.

No, the Democrat candidate is not our first choice. I like her, and I think she'll do good, but she's not #Warren or #Sanders, though they're campaigning for her. Bigger picture though: we have made MASSIVE progress with the Democrat party since 2016, and we have a real shot at getting rid of the #TwoParty system in the next couple decades, maybe even the end of this one, but there's only one path to victory there, and it's not by letting the party that wants to get rid of the #democracy itself get reelected.

@Raccoon @jcrabapple And they are certainly not the same on genocide.
@jcrabapple based af. I feel the same about voting third party in 2016. Took that lesson into 2020 and hope that more will follow suit this year.

@jcrabapple All of that applies to people thinking of voting for the Green (Getting Republicans Elected Every November ) Party. Those people who don't know that Stein is collaborating with Putin, taking money from the Republicans, and doesn't even know how many members of congress there are.

The best line from this video is that she was thinking in those terms from a place of safety ( without the shitshow that would follow from Trump ).

@jcrabapple I tried to tell them, but nooooooooo I was an alarmist, I was too old to care about people her age, I was pathetic for supporting an oppressive two party system.
I hope more of them understand that his last term in office will look like a liberal paradise compared to what will happen if he’s elected again.
@jcrabapple @leeolds it’s unfortunate how so many (particularly young) voters need to learn this the hard way time and again. And I say that as a naive Nader voter from 2000 who feels like I’ve been paying penance ever since, even though my state went for Gore by a lot.
@jcrabapple Do you know who this is / have a source link? I’d like to repost elsewhere but would like to credit if possible.
