About half of America in general; being beatniks and oddballs living among one another and the rest will not listen or maybe have refused to listen to independents. The Republicans have been doing this to us for many years. Democrats, on the whole, have been doing this to independents too. Sen. Bernie #Sanders knows all about this. A lot of us who are not working in government or involved directly with government and are also intelligent know about this sinking feeling, too. They never listen. At the end of the day, *they still blame us for all of their problems.* Generation X doesn't have that many answers. The Baby Boomers and anybody who's politically or financially connected to Donald J. Trump really fucked up here. I mean they really fucked up, big time. They jumped the shark back in 2016 and they will not take any time to look back.
This systemic issue over not caring about your fellow humans is more or less how we ended up with Donald J. Trump and all of the government people like him in local, state, and federal government jobs who idolize that loathsome P.O.S. President Trump is absolutely the worst President in modern US history who ever held office — and we quite seriously have no actual legal way to be entirely rid of No. 47 — thanks primarily to that US district court judge named #AileenCannon who's still presiding in Florida ( Cannon has not yet been impeached over her grotesque ruling involving Trump [1] ) and also we have the six conservative Justices with their powdered wigs sitting on the Supreme Court to "thank" who ruled that sitting Presidents cannot be prosecuted for most crimes made in their official capacity — even after they depart from office. Well done, you black-robed assholes.
Now there's more garbage coming out of the bastion of left-wing news, The NY Times:

Tell us, geniuses... what good is it for us, if soldiers actually do refuse illegal or non-humanitarian orders? Officers will notice this and then throw their soldiers in the stockade over them making the attempt. That shit is real. During World War I, those m*otherf*cking US Army officers used to shoot US soldiers with their pistols who refused to step out onto the battlefield. It was either a few of the Americans or the German officers who did this to the enlisted men.
Officers, in turn, are also total cowards. Most military officers serving since Vietnam have no honor nor any courage to act when it's expedient or even prudent to do so. There are notable exceptions such as Warrant Officer Hugh Thompson, Jr. who defied orders to stop a massacre of Vietnamese civilians by US troops during Vietnam. The US military is nothing else other than a sanguine bureaucracy that won't go away.
Trump cannot be prosecuted in any US or civilian court *after leaving office.* Why don't you just think about that, all of you ids at the NY Times? That's one of the ways our conservative SCOTUS stabbed the American system of jurisprudence right in the back. The GOP also wouldn't let Merrick Garland have his SCOTUS seat because they knew the Orange Idiot when elected later in 2016 would give them a total judicial lock [2]. The other backstabbing was that lady US district court judge in Florida annulling the role of US special prosecutor over the single question someone brought up about Constitutionality. They did this to screw up everything at exactly the wrong time; so that Trump's political shenanigans would more or less have a permanent effect. To say nothing of the cowards in US Congress refusing to indict or impeach Trump to the fullest extent possible.
Since the US now has no real system of jurisprudence anymore to prosecute the criminals in the White House, The Hague likely will not touch Trump with a 1,000-foot pole. They will (like all bureaucrats do) defer or look to the jurisdictional source in question: being the United States system of laws itself. If we cannot prosecute Trump through the civilian courts then The Hague certainly will not do it.
[1] - There have been significant calls for Cannon's removal from the bench. Legal commentators called for Cannon to be removed from her position after she dismissed the classified documents case against Trump, finding that Special Counsel Jack Smith's appointment was improper. Her rulings have also drawn repeated rebukes from the 11th Circuit Court of Appeals.
[2] - On February 13, 2016, Supreme Court Justice Antonin Scalia died. Later that day, Senate Republicans led by Majority Leader Mitch McConnell issued a statement that they would not consider any nominee put forth by President Barack Obama, and that a Supreme Court nomination should be left to the next president of the United States.
