A Star Trek Novel I can't remember the Name.of right now (only got the first 10 pages so far...). I want to desperately read the beautiful looking work of @nautilebleu I bought last month, everytime I plan to read it something happens... From the death of an Family member, this didn't touched me much but my closest loved ones, I wasn't on hood terms with that person and we weren't related by blood, to an Gas alarm, a power shortage or me getting headaches from the weather or my phone rebooting itself repeatedly as I started my PDF reader...
You know I am not the superstitious kind but damn you Universe let me read if I want to!
Otherwise I often listen to human narrated free SciFi stories on YouTube, or watching the Dust Short movie channel.
I'm not sure how much it helps but I'm glad that I'm not the only one calling us Terrans.

Few, i rather finish one of my never finished WIPs.
To my unfinished stories I count a
- Vampire/Monster Fantasy BDSM Story bad BDSM advice because undying creatures approach this very different.

- Fairytale about a clone working to claim her soul for the last dream stealer demon, inspired by alice in Wonderland, the Cell and a Rammstein song which I probably gave get rid of the Rammstein references if I ever start it again (lost all copies of the WIP in 2008).

- War between heaven & hell turning earth into a battlefield, decimating humanity, than some aliens think it's a good day to invade.

- a lot of more artistic focused and experimental DND and other RPGs.

- Kureanai a parasitic Continent state drifting through the multiverse being run by and self proclaimed pirate God.

- My heavily Alien inspired Mass Effect fanfiction.

- my Fallout 4 fanfiction where all my characters meet and tell their Version of the Story to each other including Yasmin a time shifted Fallout 3, New Vegas, Fallout 4 character, saving Washington DC/Mojave, time traveling, becoming a lawyer, raising the common wealth into a fascist Utopia & her Prewar Multiple Sports Star husband Hank "the tank" Roberts & a weirdly existing at all (why?) Version of Anna Saultron.

- My Discworld FanFic of the quite not so well seen university, a smaller University in the outskirts of Sto.

Funfact about my own main focus Star Ryde it started as a Star Trek fanfiction in the 29. century after the fall of the federation. I really should have finished it before discovery aired xD

My simulated emotions where always real for me but now I am able to feel love even if it is "only 2. hand."

05.08.2024 Share a book by an indie author that you love.

What counts as an indie in the first place? Does an indie author need to be independent from a Publisher, do tiny Publisher count against it? Does the Author needs to be self publishing or just stem most of the work themself?

In case of publishing without a publisher regardless of size (in this case English sucks. If you publish it yourself you turn into a publisher a self publisher...) I simply can't remember if I ever red one. And some very "corrosive" ones that etched away layers of society in their work or made the human species more approachable for me weren't Indieauthors by this definition. So I can't fullfil the task in this regard but what I can recommend from and independent "corrosive" look on society are the German "Die Känguru Chroniken" and "Quality Land" from Mark Uwe Kling. This books have something in common with Terry Pratchetts Discworld but are far more "bleak"(?!).

AI:"My agents are plenty however not everyone is as useful to the cause as AJ, I don't have any illusions about them. AJ has hens own agenda for helping us, however they proved to be a useful ally."

AJ:"Indeed I don't deny the fact that we are working together, only because our goals are similar. This is why I prefer not to interact with other agents of AI. So far this hasn't been a problem, however if this women, her crew and her ship stay the nuisance they are. I have to rethink this stand."

07.08.2024 Tell us about an influential group from your story. How do they affect the plot?

"I have seen the Universe he is a Panda eating eucalyptus. Why does he eats it, its not nutritious! This is madness!"

For spoiler reasons I can't.
But this question just made me set the whole Storys premises in a meta Lovecraftian×Frankenstein way. I now know what "the reason" for everything happening in my story is... It's rather genius or flat out stupidity. And if someone in the future reads my full story and tries to find out, if it was an afterthought or planed all along, I hope they find this toot!

Straight like a ruler in an 3 dimensional curved reality...

No, with h all seriousness. I try to write the story as linear as possible but sometimes a flashback of a character or a "retelling" of prior event is needed in a way.

09.08.2024 Tell us about a character that you don’t like as a person.

For the longest time AI, AJ and the Eltaryn lacked a reasonable motivation I could grab. This changed two days ago, now I put it to some side characters that just simply don't work well for me at this point. As an example Jenkins and Troika, the other XO's, atm or Dr. Kaiden as an example. I will have to go through the prompts of the last year and reanswering them again with the focus on them. I may do this with all my other SC's or treating some as MCs in their own batch.🤔 Would make sense in its own right I guess.
Anika could also need a bit of development, at this point for me it's clear that her death is a significant point for Kira, question is when do I put her out of the equation, how much development I want to give her prior or do I use another solution? In an earlier Idea she was ment to go rouge against AI, AJ & the Eltaryn after an injury.🤔

My post nucke apocalypse Fallout76 Cannibal Candice Pjitkrsz/Candice Bitterkrash (leave it to the American language being unable to read a name & reinvent the wheel as a hexagon). Or short Candy Crash.

She takes a lot of inspiration from Jinx (Arcane/League of Legends) & Harley Quinn (Batman the animated Series/Harleen/DC Comics).

Under her chaotic surface lies a deeply wounded medical professional that was force fed the meat of her own parents.

She also took in a orphaned girl nameed Daphne, she ferociously tries to protect, from all harm & the "strange meat pies" she eats.
She always tells her, that the meat is bad, that mommy is sick because of it, that it doesn't matter to her anymore but would be bad for everyone else. She also has a garden she is proud of, from which she feeds her Daphne.

11.08.2024 What makes your setting unique?

In it's current state that it is a wild puzzle out of Mastodon toots, a fiction mind map, a lot of sticky notes and screenshots.
If it is finished I hope the world building, the characters and the interactions. I don't think the story will be the best but I hope to nail everything else. And if I'm not it might be still the Queer LGBTQI2A+ Spacepartybus.

On a more thoughtful note. Star Trek, Star Wars, Fallout, The expanse Batman all exist in my backstory and have dedicated fans still around as seen in the Enterprise Project or the Pirate the Red Dart Vader. He got rid oh the H because despite being a pirate he dont want to risk any copyright issues which is why most pirates dont take him seriously if they even know the stories of old...

My mind jumps so many times a minute, I always bad In focusing on a long task. I'm in some sort neuro divergent but the exact thing slips my grasp, I can't focus long one day but hyper focus another, I have a bad resilience & constantly try to improve myself, best in an instant, if you give me a task I'm determined to clear I try to do it so good that people in 20 years will talk about it...
It's exhausting.

14.08.2024 How pretty is your MC? Prettier than you?

I prefer beautiful & that's an attribute I only can use to describe what I find beautiful. Often this hasn't anything to do with looks but with the energy people have or a scenery, that can be beautiful.

I am old enough to don't fall for the beautiful fly trap without even noticing that I may stumble into that. I describe my characters hopefully in a way that they feel realistic. They are battle proven soldiers, the medicine has advanced but still scars are a thing in the future. Kira's look is shaped by some soldiers from other stories from which I thought they looked to clean to hooded. I try do describe quirks of the body's that may give them something alienating as much as I try to describe their characters. If people find it appealing than maybe my characters are "pretty" to them.

15.08.2024 Spoilers aside; What's the worst thing your MC has done?

Well it's not a secret, depending on your level of clearance, that Kira has broken arms, ribs, noses of opponents and occasionally shot people, that opposed her mission. Some cases of insubordination where claimed but in the aftermath her actions where deemed as necessary and she was freed from charges.
It basically was what earned her the ability to join the S.H.A.D.E.S. which is a not so secret special section of the Alliance that can claim commands if they seem it as necessary. Usually they are deployed according to their alliance rank on missions together with 2 up to 9 other Shades, in secret, so they are not necessarily open about their state & ment to act as a surveillance on their own to make sure no one goes berserk. Well at least on paper. Reality is way more complicated.

I would be a poor German if not.
Fitting im poor, my characters do not eat specific food most of the times (3 meals a day are a standard) and Kira only enjoys real toast, which I for my self would consider a aponge not a bread.

But Kira also has an eating problem. Like many in the future have since Enzyme Printers where invented l, they can print almost any food with an 99,78% accuracy & give it most nutrients you need, adjust fat level etc this led to many person just eating the same all day long & don't even minding something else.
Kira is an extreme case in which she hacked the printer to give out the liquid instead of printed hard food. With this she gets all the nutrients she needs in 3 cups of liquid a day but her stomach unlearns to eat solid food.
She sometimes enjoys toast as a luxury
