What do we expect from civilization - extraterrestrial or terrestrial?
Hovorí sa o tom, že ľudstvo je ešte len v plienkach alebo v puberte potrebuje vzrásť a dospieť. Otázkou na ktorej sa asi tak ľahko všetci nezhodneme je: Dospieť k čomu?

Od mimozemských civilizácií očakávame, že budú od nás vyspelejšie ale nie sme si istí, ako túto prevahu použijú. Či nás napadnú a zotročia, podľa našej civilizačnej paradigmy, vzniknuvšej podľa toho, ako sme sa my civilizovaní správali k objaveným „novým svetom“. Alebo nám pomôžu dospieť, čo by niektorý z nás vedeli ako facilitátori ponúknuť menej vyvinutým kultúram.
