The *goal* was to get 20 by the *end* of the year.

I fulfilled that goal with a full 1/3 of the year left to go.

I think i will…slow down *quite* a bit for the next four months…

One thing I'm doing for the next 2 months is *not* participating in any new games, but filling in the boxes for the games that are already on the list:

#MasksRPG — running when I've only played it (one-shot)
#CandelaObscura — playing when I've only run it (campaign)
#Dive RPG — running when I've only played it (one-shot)
CBR+PNK — running when I've only played it (one-shot)

#Masks portion of this is done!

The climactic scene was in the Grand Canyon, which got destroyed, thanks to the actions of the party in trying to prevent the end of the world — which they did!

The villains, however, were misled into going to the Not-So-Grand Canyon.

Name courtesy of my improvising brain.

The #Dive portion of this was completed last Saturday (whew!) so the next thing up is the CBR+PNK game *three weeks* from now.

Unlike the rushing I was doing for the past month, I have *three whole weeks* to prepare — get myself familiar with the system, put together the story beats.

Which is good, because, well...this one's a doozy. 😂

Kill the Moon Ever since the Earth went irrevocably bad, everyone with any shred of power, influence, or money, has retreated to the Moon. Those left behind, breathing toxic fumes, eating poisoned food, dying from irradiated soil, look up a the steady bright lights of Tycho City and shake their fists. But you know how to get revenge: you’re gonna kill the moon. CBR+PNK #AndrewsOneShotPitches

I have decided I want to get to 30 by the end of the year (remember when I wanted to get to 20?), but I don't know if it's gonna be possible with all the holidays.
Isn't it going to be nice that I'm not going to be spamming all these hashtags at the start of 2025? 😂

Whew!

That's it for the year, which is good, because there is *no* more room for extra letters!

@apontious You’ve got a lot of time on your hands.
@apontious That's an impressive list!
Are you playing most of those online/at conventions?
And how does Index Card RPG hold up against Savage Worlds and Fate?
What's your personal preference? Or do they fit different play scenarios for you?

@PuzzledByMuch All online, no in-person games.

All 3 systems you mentioned are general-purpose and settings-free — a bit unusual, these days!

Savage Worlds feels like the crunchiest and most traditional.

I'd call Index Card OSR, but it *feels* NSR thanks to its unusual brand of minimalism.

Fate is a *different* brand of minimalism, with a heavier emphasis on improvisation.

All three have different, unconnected online communities. I'd check those out first to get a better feel for them.

@apontious impressive! I'm miserably behind.
@apontious Impressive!
@UnformedWorlds I think that might be it for a while… 😅
@apontious The question arises, is there a Guinness record for most systems played in a year?
