This week in #DragonBane our all-duck party fixated on the hydrology of the Misty Vale, noting that the official map suggests its rivers run backwards and that the color of the water in its haunted marsh is instead consistent with a hardwood swamp.
Quoth the GM: “I’m now jealous of the GM whose players fixate on Boblin the Goblin.” We repaid him by fixating on the hydrology of the dungeon we cleared, but hey—we’re ducks! (It was a fabulous session, and we all told him so.) #ttrpg
Whew. (Again.) Made it across the icy field/water, with a successful Evade roll.
And now someone's barking . . . ::squints::
NOW, Grainne almost fell through the ice into a frozen river (failed her Sneak roll big time). The candle wraiths were interested, but not that interested.
Awww. The tough barbarian is asking the pretty blue elf lady if she can help Gourdy (what's left of him, anyway).
She suggests we plant the seed in a pot, because it's winter right now and nothing will grow in the ground.
"Can we carry him about in a pot?"
"Well, it's gotta be a good pot . . ."
Whew. Grainne managed to heal herself for 6 HP.
Oh. The pretty NPC blue elf lady is helping Grainne.
That bastard BIT GRAINNE for 12 HP.
She's down.
Down is not dead in this game, but it's not good. Obviously.
MAN! These winter wolves are bad ass.
Freezing Snort, Dash of Death . . . fangs, claws, whatever. BAD. ASS.
Grainne socked one with a lightning flash and didn't kill it. Slowed it down some, and pissed it off, but didn't kill it.

Aaaaand Grainne got another grimoire.
That's FOUR, now. This one's Mentalism (a school she doesn't yet know), but there's a general magic spell there, too. Magic Shield, Divination, Slow Fall, Farsight.
Not bad.
