Oh! The irony!

The Mail publishes primer on how to become an economic migrant.

#politics #dailymail

@AlexGallagher Tomorrow they will have a guide to building your own small boat to cross the Channel to escape England and be an asylum seeker.
Pity they voted to end freedom of movement.
Trapped.
@AlexGallagher
If the Daily Mail was a person they would be a raving lunatic.

@AlexGallagher Two words: exit tax.

OK, three: swingeing exit tax.

@AlexGallagher
Maybe they should organise boats to take people there?
(Edited typo)
@AlexGallagher This is one bizarre article. Wouldn't everyone want that? And yet elsewhere they will go out of their way to deny it to most people so that a few can have it instead.

@AlexGallagher
Oh no just what we don't need. An influx of moaning pom's.

Complaining about the fact that it doesn't rain enough and they can't get their ethnic food like carling, angel delight, and walkers crisps (which should be called chips).
๐Ÿ˜‰

@AlexGallagher listing all the things that would make this country better if these Scrooge's paid what they owed in taxes.
I hope their applications get rejected
@AlexGallagher we don't want anymore English riffraff. We're still getting over the last lot.

@mativity @AlexGallagher

Fuck me, I'm too slow. ๐Ÿ˜‚ That's almost word for word what I was going to toot! ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘

@AlexGallagher

Good riddance to bad rubbish.

Edit: France! Hahahaha.

Obviously written when the Mail was expecting a fascist victory.

@AlexGallagher ๐Ÿคฃ ๐Ÿคฃ ๐Ÿคฃ
@AlexGallagher well if we can hive off the Tory type whiners who are all hurt because torykip lost then we're better without them. Go to it, mail, say I.
But I do appreciate the irony, or hypocrisy more like.
@AlexGallagher That Britain has low wages, a broken healthcare system and high crime is the fault of 14 years of Tory rule, not Starmer's 3 days in Number Ten. #dailyheil #tories #expats
@marcusjenkins @AlexGallagher
No, its the fault of the previous labour government spending too much on NHS and SureStart /s /sarcasm
@AlexGallagher Chef's Kiss & Finger Gestureโ„ข
@AlexGallagher I hear Rwanda's got some spare accommodation :-D
@AlexGallagher I'd like to hear the contorted chain of reasoning that led someone argue that Sweden have low taxes, France (especially Paris, as it is in the picture) has big houses, and Italy has high wages.
@j_bertolotti @AlexGallagher The "reasoning" was "hey, go and get some pictures of nice places. Don't worry about the accompanying words, we'll knock them up after lunch"
@j_bertolotti @AlexGallagher perhaps they mean Sweden has big hou... Sorry, never mind.
@AlexGallagher the Mail was never big on irony
@AlexGallagher My grandad once told me I should leave the country because it's being overrun with foreigners. You didn't think that through did you grandad?
@AlexGallagher
"top-notch healthcare" is quite a circumlocution to refer to "working public national healthcare system"
@AlexGallagher
Would have been able to move freely to 3 of those top 4 heavens a few years ago. Now you can't
@GossiTheDog
@AlexGallagher

Let's be blunt: good riddance and take the owners & staff of Associated with you.
No you're not getting back in either; assuming you get booted out of wherever within a year as is likely.*

*I don't care what the laws on Statelessness say, they have been perfectly happy to make others stateless.
@AlexGallagher Wait til those Brexiters realise they'd have to learn another language (in most of the examples) ๐Ÿ˜
@AlexGallagher Oh, joy. The colonisers are revving up for another go.
@AlexGallagher ๐Ÿ˜†๐Ÿ˜†๐Ÿ˜† I had to go check it was real...and of course it is. They won't see the irony. That would require the capacity for introspection.
@AlexGallagher The man is in the job less than a week and the headline suggests its all his fault
@AlexGallagher I'm confused. Three of those would require a foreign language to settle in comfortably, unless you're fixed well enough to have household staff and a chauffeurโ€”in which case you'd surely prefer that wages be low, not high. Anyway, I'll have one of what the author's drinking.
@AlexGallagher It's kind of ironic to recommend France for this, because the right wings have all stated that with the win of the left wing, the rich people will leave the country, because they will have to start to pay some taxes.

@AlexGallagher sorry, the Pom allocations for Australia have been over subscribed.

Please look for another destination.

@AlexGallagher โ€ฆholy crap Iโ€™d laugh if it was anywhere in the EU.
@AlexGallagher oh yes, Brits filling in paperwork in a different language... that'll work well
@AlexGallagher achievement unlocked: 100% cognitive dissonance
@AlexGallagher but they'll still want to keep their investments, which are still taxable wherever they live. I can't say a mass exodus of 1%ers virtues me anyway. Most of them don't pay income or capital gains tax anyway - due to financial shenanigans and overseas banking scams. Remember: behind every great fortune is a great crime. But I doubt labour will do much to twin them in anyway unless their election promises were all lies...
@AlexGallagher That's a great to solve our housing crisis. Brilliant, they should get free flights providing they can't return for 7 years.
@etchedpixels @AlexGallagher only seven? Far as I'm concerned they'll have made their beds, so they'll have to lie in them. To put it more succinctly, if they don't like it why don't they just fuck off.
Just as long as there's a sizeable exit surcharge.
@etchedpixels @AlexGallagher perhaps, if they wanted to return, they should jump through all the hoops other applicants have to. And no shortcuts - they've already shown they're not really committed to Britain so they need to prove their seriousness.
@AlexGallagher I can safely say it's nowhere in continental North America.
@AlexGallagher Moving anywhere in the Arab gulf states meets this description ten fold, more than anywhere they have cited -- being the Daily Mail ofc only include Western countries.
@AlexGallagher Conservatives: Rules for thee, not for me.

@AlexGallagher

Glorifying not paying taxes while leaching off of society is top notch conservatism.

@AlexGallagher people who have never "really" had to go through an immigration system explain to me how easy it is to immigrate challenge
@AlexGallagher Are they encouraging the use of small boats, ops, I mean yachts to get off this Island? ๐Ÿคฃ
