Ivan Demidov had two assists and a goal last night. With the power play struggling at the beginning of the year, we finally see Demidov moved to PP1. On the 3 powerplays Montreal had, they scored twice, with Demidov getting the primary assists on both. That wasn't enough for Demidov, and he would follow that by what turned out to be the winning goal.

VANCOUVER - Forward Patrik Laine underwent surgery to repair a core muscle injury. The procedure was performed by Dr. Mark Zoland at Lennox Hill Hospital in New York. Laine's recovery period is estimated to be three to four months.
