Montreal is on a 6 games winning streak and are ready to make it 7 as they take on the New York Rangers. So far this year, the Rangers have won both games. The officiating was dubious, as it usually is in games between these two teams, for some reason. If Montreal can focus and stay away from the box, they shouldn't have any trouble winning this one, especially given how good their goal tending and defense has been of late.

Hm. My mother was born in #Canada. So, I'm eligible for dual citizenship in that country. It wouldn't be simple, but it would be a way to leave #MAGA behind. That would be nice.

The #Democrats are likely to take back part of the U.S. government this year. However, they'll cave to the billionaires and #Trump Types after that. They always do. They'll make righteous noises to ordinary citizens and chuckle when the ordinary citizens fall into line. I've watched this for 50 years.

I don't have many years left to live. A medical appointment today, actually, might tell me more about that. I'd so like to have just a few quiet years just to write. As opposed to struggling to work out issues with every part of the safety net here, a safety net that is worn out and torn and that will fall apart further in the 2030s.

This isn't a major development. Just the start of one. If I make any progress, I'll post further on the subject for the benefit of other potential #expats. If it doesn't work out, no harm done.
