Cared for my wife from 2017-23. Alzheimer's is terminal, progressive, and devastating for all concerned. J now lives in 24/7 care. 😭

While dying, dad told us his dad & gran were Aboriginal, calling his grandparents a combo - an illegal mixed couple. Who knew? Not me. True? No idea. Yet. I toot as a white man, & benefit from the privilege that brings in Australia. I live on Darug land.

I follow people, but get a little confused when people follow me.🤷‍♂️

At the leaders debate, Albanese and Dutton were united in their support for the teen social media ban

It's a bipartisan embarrassment to support such a flimsy, bizarre law that appears to prioritise optics and corporate interests over our children's wellbeing

Albanese and Dutton’s love-fest for the teen social media ban is a craven embarrassment

Both leaders say they want to be tough on big tech and to help kids. From what we know about the teen social media ban, it might accomplish neither aim.

Oh no, the ironing! 🤦

Democratic duties completed for yet another Federal election.

Geez, we had a very...limited choice. 2 x major party candidates, 1 x minor, 3 x ratbag parties that will never receive my vote.

Good morning from Kiama! Happy belated Earth Day for my fellow Earthlings who celebrate.

Peter Dutton’s policy reversals may not be what they seem #AusPol
Very interesting article.

“He and other LNP leaders, such as Senator Anne Ruston, have made it clear often enough that the age pension and unemployment benefits, for example, are no longer seen by them as earned entitlements. They are welfare payments and should be treated as such.”

Sarah Wynn-Williams wanted Facebook to be something it couldn't be: honest.

If Labor has to swear that they’ll do no deals with The Greens, shouldn’t the Nationals swear to do no deals with the Lberals?

With the Australian federal election coming up, do you have any questions about how elections work, or how voting works, or how to correctly fill in your ballot, or anything like that? Not the politics, just the process. I worked in elections for most of the last decade and Antony Green isn’t here, so why not ask me.

Peter Dutton has made an election ad, and it’s surprisingly honest and informative!
