For reference...my 2 non-work laptops are both Ubuntu (I stopped distrohopping about 8-10ish years ago)...I shouldn't have to say this but don't use anything provided by your employer for personal use...if you wouldn't hand it to a coworker don't use work kit for it either. I have an older laptop that runs w10 well and a family desktop running the same. The desktop will go to a Mac Mini (i'm not the main user) and the laptop will get something else. #w11 reminds me of W-Vista in the worst ways.

As far as converting to #windows11 ...for anyone who cares. The answer is...pick literally anything else unless it is being purchased for you. I was issued a new HP laptop with the stupid copilot key etc...keyboard is nice, so is the trackpad...otherwise it is the biggest pile of invasive garbage I have ever used. W11 is awful in general and the laptop watches you (i have a post-it permanently affixed to the camera). When W10 expires I'm taking my old laptop and throwing GhostBSD on it. For fun.
