I'm very tempted to get the Steam Deck. Especially to have the game released and play well on it. Any of you Godot Devs out there have any experience with Steam Deck? If so, how have the process been for you?

@mikelundahl Everyone that got one told me that they've been playing games more than ever. So, while I can't tell you about the experience myself, I guess I can tell you to make sure you have the extra time 😅
@Emi That's definetly a risk😅

@mikelundahl I was thinking the same thing yesterday but I was contemplating the Asus RogAlly.

It seems to me (correct me if I’m wrong) but the Ally has better hardware and potentially better hardware if you want a mini-#PC but if you play everything on #Steam then the software might be better on the #SteamDeck .

I’m assuming the Steam Deck would be amazing at any game built on #Godot because #GodotEngine is relatively lightweight compared to a game engine like #UnrealEngine which the Steam Deck over achieves expectations.

@MIfoodie I've been looking at the RogAlly as well. It does drain the battery faster. And in that small form factor, I'm not necessarily looking for the most powerful device (I'm still in love with the Nintendo switch for example). I'm looking for the best experience overall using the device (SteamOS and smooth integration with Steam store etc does a lot). And the Ally also don't have the touch pads. With that, also want to pick the device most people go for. I also think Ally is to expensive
@mikelundahl Yup that’s exactly my thoughts too. I also watched a video by Linus Tech Tips where a big plus for the Steam Deck was it performed much better then the Ally with the 10w setting.
@mikelundahl It's a pretty smooth experience! It runs my game better than my laptop.
