John Thomas@siracusa While I think Microsoft owning Nintendo would be terrible, a "Nintendo Games Pass" sounds intriguing. The excitement for the back catalogs of Nintendo's retro consoles is being fulfilled by other companies like Analogue.

@MyNameis__John @siracusa I donāt think Nintendo will even notice, certainly some Microsoft chestthumper feeling his oats trying to make a name for himself in a public bragging contest. If this means anything, such public overtures are probably a sign that MS fellow is on his way out of the company

@twostraws The part about āactivist investorsā buying up stock and then demanding ābetter performanceā from the stock, adding pressure on Nintendoās board of directors to accept an acquisition makes me sick to my stomach.

Chuck Skoda@siracusa I feel like this fundamentally misunderstands Nintendo. Any of us long time followers understand that Nintendo is principled in a way that prevents this. Iām not even sure how this would shake out if Nintendo was in the most dire of financial circumstances.

@siracusa NGL if someone had to buy Nintendo I would rather it be Microsoft than apple, as much as I dislike Microsoft they understand games and gamers more than apple ever has.
