I usually don't spend too much time silently yelling at my phone while listening to @atpfm, but it was crazy-making the sheer amount of time @marcoarment spent the lack of auto-resume of walk workouts.

I know this feature works, because I've seen a resume reminder as recently as this past week!

(every other complaint about the watchOS 26 workouts app is completely valid. It’s an awful regression)

@hotdogsladies and I forgot to add this, but I know you're a Tanya Donelly fan (or at least her work with the Muses), but she had a lovely version of "Moon River" on a compilation album a while back. https://music.apple.com/us/album/sing-me-to-sleep-indie-lullabies/364684738

@hotdogsladies I'm catching up on last week's RotL because I spent last week skiing at Snowmass, one of the Aspen mountains. I kept skiing past the Spider Sabich Picnic Area and had no idea what it referred to.

Today, thanks to you and John, I know.

When you commission a custom font (Postoni, modified from Bodoni) but don't bother with adding modifier symbol codepoints for relatively common accents.
@RecDiffs 52 years later, my husband is still complaining about having to swim nekkid at Duke. I gather they had a PE requirement including a basic swimming class — but you could test out. If you didn’t have trunks for the test, you went in naked. He, uh, did not expect to have to swim at Duke. Not quite the Detroit situation, but still a very bad memory.
Surprised at how well the 16 Pro fits in a techwoven case. Definitely preferred the feel of FineWoven (and my spouse’s and mine both held up just fine) but I like this a lot more than the Beats case.

MicroTimes (1985): "[They] met a couple of years ago at a party ... They became good friends before they started in partnership to produce software." <https://theprintshop.club/2024/07/26/the-people-behind-the-print-shop/>

@LaineNooney, "The Apple II Age" (2023): yeah I interviewed them personally. They were a gay couple. "Both had relocated to the Bay Area ... to explore their nascent identity in what was then a vibrant locus for the gay liberation movement in the United States."

Remember when every conservative ran around with a pocket constitution they could pull out and wave around at any time? Where’d they go?
