Maxilo Overit"Cups" is a loaded term. I use varying sized mugs and pint glasses depending on what kind of coffee I'm drinking. I'd say two pints of coffee is 4 cups and that's kind of my limit.

@dancinyogi I'll drink an entire pot over the course of a day if I don't have other sources of caffeine. Considering the fact that is soothes and focuses my brain without any stimulant effect whatsoever I'm probably just self medicating tbh.

Sir David Nielsen@dancinyogi @ebassi I wish I drank pots of the delight every day, but caffeine makes the symptoms of my Tourette’s worse, so I go without the sweet bitter dream that is coffee. Decaf is horrid stuff and nobody should accept it as a substitute.

Mauve Rose@dancinyogi: Define "a cup of coffee". I drink 4 30-ounce mugs of coffee in a day. Is that four or 20 or 24? Are we talking 5-ounce or 6-ounce cups? Or 8-ounce cups as measured by recipe standards? I hate quizzes that feature undefined quantities.
bennes@dancinyogi well to be fair this could be a bit biased per region: eg a cup of coffee (and the contained caffeine) (and its price) here in italy is very different than an American one😅 but I will go with 1-2 (breakfast and after lunch)!

I'm on a very sleepy journey from a 4+ cup/day person to 1-2.
Turns out that 'sleeping 2-7AM and catching up on sleep on the weekends' is not sustainable in my 40s.
