When I say that the Republicans’ megabill is unbelievably awful, I’m being rather literal:

Many Americans, presented with 100% accurate information, will assume that critics are exaggerating and the GOP wouldn’t do anything this horrible to their own country. We know this because it’s happened before. https://www.msnbc.com/rachel-maddow-show/maddowblog/many-americans-may-surprised-just-horrible-republicans-megabill-rcna216733

Many Americans may be surprised by just how horrible the Republicans' megabill is

In recent years, many voters have struggled to believe accurate descriptions of Republican proposals. With the One Big Beautiful Bill Act, it might happen again

Who has gone out on a limb to challenge Trump?

Lots of federal district court judges.

Whom did the Supreme Court choose at this moment to rein in (having passed on doing so under Biden)?

Federal district court judges.

The horror which will be unleashed by ICE now that their budget is ten times larger is unimaginable. What must be imagined instead is the abolition of ICE.

I know that Stephen Miller gets a lot of hate on here, but hear me out.

I think we could hate him more. We have the capacity, we all just need to put in a little more effort.

Mayoral races in places like NYC and Minneapolis are giving us a good example of why the establishment really don't want ranked choice voting.

Progressive candidates can campaign together and not worry about the "dividing the vote" problem. Voters don't have to pick a single candidate who they find tolerable enough but also think can beat "the other guy".

...mostly it just goes to show how fucked up our elections are in general...how captive we are.

Norwegian tourist arriving at New York airport was detained, interrogated, had his phone searched, and was denied entry and sent back to Oslo, because he had a picture on his phone making fun of JD Vance.

Do NOT visit the US under the Trump regime.

Why you definitely SHOULD NOT share this JD Vance meme

Have you ever considering commandeering a yacht with 81 of your closest friends?

#Trump says he is ending all trade discussions with #Canada.

(And the tariff will not be paid by Canada, it will be paid for by American companies and consumers)

In conversations about forward progress on a societal scale, I think a lot of well meaning people are overly preoccupied with the idea of changing people’s minds rather than appealing to people who are already doing the work.

This leads to endless conversations about perception and marketing and censoring our language into something that might placate people who don’t give a shit about progress.

I’ve always found it far more useful to connect with folks that don’t have to be convinced of doing the right thing.

That’s saves a lot of time and leaves a lot more energy for getting things done that going around in circles talking about it potentially happening.
