I started a thread on the GNOME forum about the state of #vala maintenance. I don't have the answers, but let's discuss & figure out as a community what we can do to make sure that Vala is sustainable and can keep moving forward

We in the Vala community love the language, but we are concerned about the lack of progress, and in particular our inability to get changes (fixes) into Vala. Oh, there's a new Ubuntu LTS coming out, and folks found out that the unmaintained Google Drive integration that has been on the chopping block for four years has finally been turned off downstream as well, and I was the poor soul that said it last on Discourse.
