@bradlinder Pretty shure #Lenovo is fecking it up...
Because they don't even give any f**ks about #Linux on their #ThinkPad devices...
@stdevel @bradlinder that is sadly not the truth anymore.
Despite being "#UbuntuCertified" absolute basics like the #WWAN module didn't wotk at all on a work issued #ThinkPad #P15v.
Neither them nor #Canonical nor #Fibocom (#850GL WWAN Card) nor #Intel (#XMM7360 is the chipset of said card) felt responsible to fix it.
Not gonna talk about #nvidia being shitty again on that occasion...
In fact, #Lenovo really worsened #Linux compatibility and actually removed @ubuntu #UbuntuLTS from the OS option menu in the configurator for the #ThinkStation #P360Tiny post-launch...
@stdevel @bradlinder @ubuntu also every #ThinkPad after my #X230t that I use to this day is literally a #downgrade in terms of expandability, upgradeability and maintainability.
Sadly @frameworkcomputer is just marginally better by virtue of having #repairability as selling feature, but even their #Framework #Laptop|s are a Downgrade...

@[email protected] @[email protected] That’s actually not true - at least for the T, X and P series. Those devices have proper Linux support and are also certified. You can even flash the firmware without any issues. The consumer lineup is something different.
