well at least someone at The Gruaniad has noticed #Mastodon....
Mastodon has dedicated Nazi servers. They're walled off, but they're definitely there.
So to win this with full marks, Mastodon just has to increase its shitposting and seek dominion over the Earth.
(I'm not on Mastodon, by the way.)
@helenczerski @firstdogonthemoon "I joined Twitter in 2008 and I'm proud to say that like everyone else on here I have not read a book since."
😂😂😂😂

“Woke mind virus” is injected with the microchips in Covid vaccines. Part of what makes the spoon stick to your neck. Or maybe the microchips have a virus? So complicated.

The problem is... if a popular instance or your instance goes down, gets overloaded, or has some sort of moderation/bot-spam snafu that requires partial/total defederation... the timeline suddenly /isn't/ chronological: Toots disappear or refuse to load... and users are caught in a horrid half state reminiscent of "Trying to get the critical website to fully load over spotty wifi"
This is both a feature and a bug. As what usually doesn't load is some sort of Drama-laden flame-war nobody really should be giving attention-to (gasoline on the fire), but what is the Internet-for if not finding the biggest drama-laden flame-war to gawk-at?

As a prolific contributor to both #mosstodon and #lichenSubscribe - hah, yep!
(Including some below just on principle...)

Sometimes posts get lost due to inter-server issues. I don't think this is as much a mastodon thing as a federated protocol thing, which means it will likely affect bluesky if they ever deliver on some kind of federation.
Similar to when you get an email that shows up way late.

A very important row that I feel got left out:
"Tiddies?" (Twitter: YES!, Bluesky: YES!, Threads "ABSOLUTELY NOT!", Mastodon: "YES! (and usually properly blurred/CW'd by default)")

Great cartoon, but not what I have personally seen of those platforms.
I read a review of BlueSky where the journalist criticized them for sending the initial group of invitations to substack authors, which sadly has a high concentration of right wing authors.
The closest thing I've seen to a Nazi on Mastodon was some Easter European defending the owner and developer of Lemmy for being a tankie ( an authoritarian communist ).
I haven't seen any "woke" minds on BlueSky. Just adolescent jokes like on Twitter.
As far as owners seeking world domination I find sad and naive that BlueSky users think that will apply to BlueSky if it gets a chance to grow.
