After quite a rainy 7 km walk I finally arrived at my destination for today, close to Appleby #interrail #england #train 🌿🚞🥾

This morning, I hiked up to High Cup Nick, an almost perfectly shaped glacial valley. Normally the views are breathtaking but my viz at the top was less than 100 m 🙈. At a lower viewpoint, clouds lifted a bit #yorkshire #hiking #interrail

Then, back to Appleby (12 km) over very quiet country lanes to catch the train to Settle #interrail #yorkshire

Settle, a nice little town with a great restored signal box, pubs, shops and a twice-per-saturday bus to Malham 😎🚌🚏

The bus ride was likely the most scenic I ever made. “Pieter Post-gevoel” 😊

I couldn’t find a schedule that fitted in breakfast, a long hike, and the once-daily bus out of #Malham #Yorkshire. Until I realized I could do the 4-hour hike before breakfast! Early start at 5.30 AM, no other hikers encountered 😊🥾 #Limestone #geology #MalhamCove
