“Stand Your Ground” laws are a cover for anyone to be able to shoot at anyone else they feel threatened by, whether or not that’s true, with no consequences. They need to go.

If I were a police officer, I'd want AR's NOT to be owned by civilians. They should be thinking in terms of, hey, that could've been me in uniform and I could be dead. Just saying! Carry on.

Plus, I believe pictures of the Uvalde, TX school children should be shown to every member of the House in chambers. Senate, too, so they can see the damage done to a child's body. Then pass a dang law outlawing non-police ownership.

The other purpose might even lower crime, since outlaws with a pistol would think twice b4 taking on the police.
