Reiterating this important point:
These were so-called "financial insecurity" voters.
They could afford to take off work for this trip. Could afford travel costs, lodging, dining, and drinks. Could afford specially printed T-shirts and flags. Could afford cameras, military cosplay accessories, weapons, and ammunition.
Their votes were not about financial insecurity to begin with.
I have been advocating for years for every State to buy homes in the DC area for every Seat in the House and Senate and when you win the election you move into that home. If we want people to run for Office that aren't rich and well connected, we need to make it easier to afford to do so.
This is an easy way to open the door for the working class to get a louder voice.
