Engagement is truth, right? The more something is up voted and liked and retweeted, the more true and real it obviously is. The only reason someone can be blocked is ignorance!
So posts over a certain threshold will ignore blocks. Leading to people actively liking things to drive engagement to force viewpoints on others.
It hits all the points. It drives traffic, enrages people, increases metrics, and is fucking stupid.

Kevin Carson@mmasnick I remember Dec. 2013 when they changed the block feature so that it only stopped you from seeing the tweets of the person you blocked, but didn't stop them from following you and seeing your tweets and commenting on them. Put a huge number of people in danger and opened them to harassment, and was quickly withdrawn after a massive backlash.
