Update fixing the #Tusky 21.0 beta startup crash on Android pre 11 is now available via Google Play
@Tusky it would be great to be able to download the beta versions from @fdroidorg as well
If you use Mastodon on an Android device check out @Tusky. An amazing app. I use it on my phone.
@Tusky Editing is the last thing that I was missing from this amazing app, I kept another one installed only for this. Thanks and congrats to the team!

@Tusky Oh, now that we're talking about it, there is another feature that I really miss: accessing the whole settings within the app.

As a #mastoadmin I regularly (3 times a day) need to check new accounts creation requests to validate or reject them. I know it is very niche, and not even sure it can be accessed from within a client app, but it would save me a lot of time to do it from the app.

(*silently heads to the Github project's issues tab*)

@Tusky Accessing the "Translate" per-toot option of translation-enabled servers would be ace too!

(Yeah, Github. I know. 😁)

@Tusky I'm looking forward to the fix. You're doing great work 💚
@Tusky
What does the reading order setting do? I was hoping for a reverse order timeline, with new posts down, but doesn't seem to be that.
Also, one should be able to select which languages are visible in the language menu. Very few people post in a hundred languages.
@kallekn @Tusky While digging for the language selector trouble I found old FRs and the chosen solution seems to be to take phone system languages and surface them at the top of the list. So add the other languages at rhe system level as secondaries and they are now accessible. I'd still prefer selecting what to show, but this seems to be the way chosen to avoid having a setting.
@jinna @Tusky Thanks. Didn't even know that seems existed in Android, I suppose it's fairly new. A bit cumbersome, though, and I still can't select Esperanto as it is not in the list :-(
@kallekn @Tusky I'm not entirely sure but I think the goal is to let you choose whether you want to read your timeline starting from the bottom and then going up (oldest first), or starting from the top and then going down. It would affect the way the "show more" button behaves (loads post above the button or below it). I hope the dev can clarify.
@kallekn @Tusky (If this is correct, maybe a better label for this option would be something like "going up/down" or "from the bottom/top" instead of "oldest/newest first". Or "reading direction" instead of "reading order".)
@s427 @Tusky Yes, the "load more" button now works the way I want. That was the main reason I was mostly using Fedilab. I'll test Tusky again now.
@s427 @Tusky Fedilab simply has two "more" buttons, up and down. But I'd still like have the option of a reverse direction timeline, as I had in my Twitter app when Twitter apps still were a thing.
@kallekn @Tusky Setting Oldest First means that the Load More button no longer jumps to the newest loaded toot, instead staying where you were.
@Tusky I've tried to set reading order to oldest first, but I don't see anything change

@eamodio @Tusky same here. Unless it's not doing what we think it should do?
@Tusky Well, now my Tusky doesn't work anymore.
@AmiW @Tusky is your Android below version 11?
@saiki @Tusky I don't know, there is nothing to update and it can't be opened anymore
@Tusky hyped for all your hard work to hit my phone!
@Tusky
Does Tusky have support for trending content? It would be great to have it.
@Tusky Uninstalled, reinstalled. Crashing. Uninstalled.

@AmiW @Tusky

👆 I just rolled back to v.20 until the issue with v.21 on earlier Android versions is resolved (hours away I'm told).

@Tusky That is terrific. Tusky is my favorite Mastodon App and I really missed the edit function. I will give it a try.

Thank you so much for the work on this app.

@Tusky would be great to also have the option to 'create a new list' from within the new 'add account to list' dialog in the profile to add people to new lists and not only to old ones.

love the work you're doing. 🫶
@Tusky You can long press to copy account names! That's fabulous!! ❤️
@Tusky just signed up for Beta in Google Play. Looking forward to trying the new releases!
@Tusky any plan on adding the trending / explore posts timeline? Or has it been added perhaps since last time I used Tusky?
@rubentura Tusky 22 will have trending tags support
@Tusky is there an option to set an alternative text for pics as I always forget to do it?
@Tusky thank you for your continueing work!

@Tusky Woohoo! 🎉

(I just edited this with #tusky!)

@Tusky Changing the preferred reading direction is fantastic - I'm so glad I don't have to keep tapping "Load More" nor fight the default Newest first direction.
@Tusky Thank you for finally offering an usable oldest-first reading direction in the timeline! 😃
This was by far the most annoying issue for me, compared to other clients.
@Tusky Changing the preferred reading direction! Excellent, that's exactly what I wanted
@Tusky lots of new interface languages added, worth a mention!
@Tusky
Media previews have disappeared for me. Is there a new setting I can't find?
