@Tusky
What does the reading order setting do? I was hoping for a reverse order timeline, with new posts down, but doesn't seem to be that.
Also, one should be able to select which languages are visible in the language menu. Very few people post in a hundred languages.
@kallekn @Tusky While digging for the language selector trouble I found old FRs and the chosen solution seems to be to take phone system languages and surface them at the top of the list. So add the other languages at rhe system level as secondaries and they are now accessible. I'd still prefer selecting what to show, but this seems to be the way chosen to avoid having a setting.
@jinna @Tusky Thanks. Didn't even know that seems existed in Android, I suppose it's fairly new. A bit cumbersome, though, and I still can't select Esperanto as it is not in the list :-(
@kallekn @Tusky I'm not entirely sure but I think the goal is to let you choose whether you want to read your timeline starting from the bottom and then going up (oldest first), or starting from the top and then going down. It would affect the way the "show more" button behaves (loads post above the button or below it). I hope the dev can clarify.
@kallekn @Tusky (If this is correct, maybe a better label for this option would be something like "going up/down" or "from the bottom/top" instead of "oldest/newest first". Or "reading direction" instead of "reading order".)
@s427 @Tusky Yes, the "load more" button now works the way I want. That was the main reason I was mostly using Fedilab. I'll test Tusky again now.
@s427 @Tusky Fedilab simply has two "more" buttons, up and down. But I'd still like have the option of a reverse direction timeline, as I had in my Twitter app when Twitter apps still were a thing.
@kallekn @Tusky Setting Oldest First means that the Load More button no longer jumps to the newest loaded toot, instead staying where you were.
