Well, about cooking for one, I like the sound of that: https://restless.co.uk/leisure-and-lifestyle/food-drink/easy-dinner-ideas-for-one/
They might have a point about it taking less long to cook for only yourself because you're dealing with smaller quantities, and I love the idea of it being "an expression of self-love; an empowering gesture that can improve your mood", if that's not inspiring!
Quite a few of these recipes sound pretty good too. I wonder which one I might have a go with.
While most of us know that cooking our own food is generally healthier than buying ready meals or takeaways, if you live alone, it can sometimes be difficult to find the motivation to cook. But aside from being aware of exactly what you’re putting into your body (and saving money while you’re at it) there
I have a new ambition for the next couple of months of this year. Seeing as I'm an inexperienced and utterly uninspired cook, I want to improve my cooking and try my hand with a new perspective and approach: figure out how cooking works without leaning so heavily on recipes. I developed a couple of dishes in the past with a trial & error method, and was really happy with them. I want to do more of that.
Found a fab article, as if written for me:

This is Watchbell Lane in #Newport on the #IsleofWight, photographed by my husband.
It's less than a minute's walk from our shop and has a magical feel to it after dark. The steam is coming from a hotel laundry - It always adds to the atmosphere down there. I love how the shop lights create patterns on the ground.
Another sleeve design I drafted. This is the one I started my sleeve shape journey with. I had loads of fun drafting this! Inspiration pic printed from the Internet on the right. It also shows the shape of the sleeve pattern piece. It looked challenging but do'able.
The central shape with the curve for the top of the sleeve head turned out not to be tall enough, I couldn't get the horizontal pleat with this. Will post my V2 pic when I find it.
I'm playing around more and more with Notion, for bookmarks, notes, images, database tables and scribbles. I'm really enjoying it, despite the learning curve.
I even started looking at YouTube tutorials that are incredibly useful. Stops me flailing around quite so much.
I love tracking all the films I've seen and still want to see. I made a very small one-click template to add another film URL.
I love learning things.
So nice to be able to do so many different things, and amazingly it's free.
