Thanks for the tip about Tusky Nightly. Now using that one.
I've tried Elk on my pixel too, but I don't have great eyes and need to zoom in to read text in screenshots and see details in photos posted but Elk can't seem to zoom in.
@arossp For anyone interested in iOS, been using Ice Cubes (from Apples App Store) for a few days now - it’s wonderful! I can nit-pick about a few things, but they are pretty minor. Has everything I need, including following (and deleting follows) of hashtags.
I only wish my Mac experience was as good as my iPad experience. Lately I’ve been sticking to the iPad only with a Bluetooth keyboard just so I can use Ice Cubes.
@arossp @vmstan One of the big things that clicked with me about this place, and the #fediverse in general.
It sounds cheesy, but: it’s built by the people, for the people (not shareholders, ads, or eNgAgEmeNt). Feels… refreshingly unprecedented that it’s taking off as well as it is so far.
Attached: 1 image I think we're going with this. Enough people said they wanted to pay more that I'm sure as hell not going to stop them. Not going to feature gate anything, but I could see a couple fun perks for the higher level in the future.
Attached: 1 image Ivory by Tapbots is launching today. This app marks the beginning of a new era for Mastodon clients on Apple platforms. It raises the bar in this category, but there’s still work to be done. I reviewed Tweetbot 1.0 on MacStories in 2011; 12 years later, here is my review of Ivory 1.0: Ivory for Mastodon Review: Tapbots Reborn https://www.macstories.net/reviews/ivory-for-mastodon-review-tapbots-reborn/

I'm probably non-neurotypical, but for me, my phone is to contact people (and have maps, searches, etc), not for socialmedia.
Socialmedia is just for home - on a PC, where I won't get eyestrain from it.
If I took pics when out, then home is the time to put them on SM, not when I'm actually socialising.
All I want from SM is a good browser based PC UX.
The kids now, will finally 'get it', when they start having to put on reading glasses to read a phone.
