Over many years, I have been gradually replacing all of the paragraphs in the Ship of Theseus Wikipedia article.
@Chrishallbeck Is it still the Ship of Theseus Wikipedia article then?
@cra1g @Chrishallbeck Fortunately it's an easy call with Wikipedia, it's identified by title. Not all things have such a simple rule for classification.
@Chrishallbeck Ha, ha ha, ha … oh, crap. Is that you?
@Chrishallbeck I’ve got a really good old axe with both a new head and handle you can use.
@PChoate @Chrishallbeck and I made a new axe of some old pieces from the dump that I restored
@Chrishallbeck I've made sure the Russell's Paradox article links to an article if and only if it doesn't link to itself.

@icecolbeveridge @Chrishallbeck

But now you've made impossible the argument used in every vote fraud allegation filed by every MAGA who's ever done that.

@Chrishallbeck

Have you saved the original paragraphs and used them to create a new article from this saved text? πŸ˜‰πŸ€·πŸ½β€β™‚οΈ

@simonzerafa πŸ˜‚

@Chrishallbeck

My friend Hobbs was asking that's all πŸ˜‰

@simonzerafa @Chrishallbeck Hobbs was asking Socrates but Socrates would never give him a a straight answer, just more questions.

@hobs @Chrishallbeck

Borges is checking the library for answers but I fear he may be some time πŸ˜•πŸ€·β€β™‚οΈ

@hobs @Chrishallbeck

I forgot to add a suitable content warning which has now been corrected πŸ₯΄

@simonzerafa @Chrishallbeck THAT lemma would qualify as the Ship of Thesaurus

@Chrishallbeck I GET THIS ONE

and I didn't even have to look at the article

@Chrishallbeck
Did you mention the Ship of Theseus never crosses the same river twice?
@Chrishallbeck  might as well . Keep us posted!
@Chrishallbeck your belief in the existence of the Ship of Theseus wikipedia article is not an unassailable assumption

@aaronpettman @Chrishallbeck

us Buddhists on Wikipedia agree...

@bodhidave @aaronpettman @Chrishallbeck A real example of failing to see the forest for the trees
@Chrishallbeck If you do that by replacing words with synonyms, you are building a Ship of Thesaurus.
@Chrishallbeck Was that because you only got halfway with the Zeno article?
@Chrishallbeck this is my favorite post ever. Thank you. This means so much to me.
@Chrishallbeck I am glad to see a reference to Triggers Broom, one of my favourites.
@Chrishallbeck Is each new paragraph an exact duplicate of its predecessor?
@Chrishallbeck As this made me smile I thought I'd re-share this on a similar theme hoping to reciprocate. As per Theseus recycling theme one I recycled/stole from somewhere on the Xbird site followed by evolution of the concepts adding a bit of #Quantum
@SANEAlex @Chrishallbeck I hope you end up in the Good Place. Without Kristen Bell.
@llywrch @Chrishallbeck I had to look up Kristen Bell assuming the comment was in good faith using my Sherlockian skills I am guessing your involvement with a small child with Frozen on auto repeat creating an new Dante circle on the nth+x repeat time 😈 😜 So also in good faith may I suggest some of the works of #GNUTerryPratchett Amazing Maurice & Tiffany series to provide an alternate to future Frozen repeats both educational and entertaining but may invoke strong will during teenage yearsπŸ€·β€β™‚οΈ
@SANEAlex @Chrishallbeck Maybe you ought to watch more tv? Or Google for shows where Ted Danson & Kristen Bell both star?
@Chrishallbeck You magnificent bastard. 🫑
@Chrishallbeck It will eventually become the Trigger’s Broom article.

@alistaircoleman @Chrishallbeck

I attached a Triggers Broom warning to one if my earlier replies 😏

@Chrishallbeck So at some point we must ask if it is the original article.
@Chrishallbeck overtime I’ve been replacing all of my tabs in chrome with other browser tabs.
@Chrishallbeck Could one of you do my friend Schroedinger a favor? He needs to take his cat to the vet to determine its health. He’s worried it might be dead, but thinks if he checks he might kill it
@Chrishallbeck
Reminds me of the Steven Wright virus, that replaces all your files by exact duplicates.
@Chrishallbeck LOL. On a related note, the Wright Flyer at the National Air & Space Museum is equally not completely 'original'. Over the years the brothers had it stored away and repaired and replaced the parts that flew at Kitty Hawk in 1903.
@Chrishallbeck I'd find it even funnier if I hadn't spent hours making notes on 'identity' last week. I came across this philosophical one-liner: "Identity is the relation each thing bears only to itself."
@Chrishallbeck But is it really you who did it each time?
@Chrishallbeck I almost got away with editing the page for Tantalus once. So close. Maybe next time.
@Chrishallbeck Also, I'll bet the guy who wrote the page on Galatea really loves it.
@Chrishallbeck AMAZING πŸ˜‚πŸ‘πŸΏ
