@GryphonSK I may barely be GenX (as in, Reagan hadn't YET been sworn in, and in fact Carter was still president, tho it was the campaign year), but I made many mixed tapes.
And learned very quickly how to fix tapes I'd either farked up or the machines did. I was NOT allowed to damage my sister's tapes.
She once caught me listening to N.I.B. on headphones, singing aloud -- and ripped the headphones off before I gave my grandmother collywobbles. ;)
