Interesting. As a regular user of #Firefox on my home #Linux desktop, I am concerned about the push to build more and more features into the web browser. Keep fighting the good fight to maintain Firefox as a fast, reliable and secure browser that values privacy, and push back against unnecessary default #AI features. If people want these features they will be happy to opt-in, rather than being forced to find out how to disable them.

2. Weeks ago, Human Rights Watch published a 218 page report into ethnic cleansing of Sudan's Masalit & other non Arab peoples, by the Rapid Support Forces in West Darfur. According to HRW, the UAE backed rebel group has murdered thousands in a campaign "which would indicate that genocide has been &/or is being committed there."

RSF commander General Hemedti is also implicated in atrocities in the earlier genocide in Darfur back in 2004.

Literally: no justice, no peace.

1. Newly published (yesterday) 120+ page report by the DC based New Lines Institute thinktank (which oversees @newlinesmag btw) determined that Ethiopian & Eritrean forces carried out a genocide of the Tigrayan minority from 2020-2022. Authored by over a dozen legal experts, the report is the first independent probe to confirm that genocidal acts were carried out during Ethiopia's civil war. It's long sought recognition for horrendous suffering in Ethiopia's Tigray region

Genocide in Tigray: Serious breaches of international law in the Tigray conflict, Ethiopia, and paths to accountability - New Lines Institute

Ethiopia’s war in Tigray left more than 400,000 soldiers and as many as 300,000 civilians dead. This report outlines a reasonable basis to believe that the Tigrayans were victims of genocide and calls for a full investigation and accountability for the suffering created.
