@heidilifeldman Thanks for posting this. I have supported our local #NPR station with a monthly donation for years. From what I can tell in my short time here, #Mastodon seems like a social media equivalent - commercial free and community supported. I’m all in. Put me down for 10.

So ya got me for 10.00/yr. Would have been more, but I could not get the custom amount entry point to work. I wanted to enter 12.00 and it kept going to 120.00 or 1200.00, even 12,000.00 once. That’s what my annual Soc Sec. retirement pension lets me live on each month. You can’t have it. ☺️It gets F ing cold in Minnesota this time of year (-21°f tonight.) I need an apt. 🤣😂.

@heidilifeldman I said for years I would have been happy to pay a sub for Twitter because, back in the day, I wanted to support it & prevent it going the way it basically has.

So I've been more than happy to bung a few coins at my instance.

@heidilifeldman is this sustainable? It costs $3/yr per user to run already? so far it's still pretty dead here. What happens when activity picks up and there is actual traffic/usage?! What's that going to cost? Who is going to pay when traffic increases 10x? 100x?
