As I listen to the crushing news of 50+ bills being introduced across the country to prevent gender affirming surgery, I am hoping that the ACLU and progressive legal organizations step up to defy these laws and sue in states like Florida, Utah and Alabama on the basis of parental rights. If a parent consents, then their child should be able to have surgery or the the hormones they need. The state has no right to interfere with parental rights and the parental support of trans children. #trans
