When I was between jobs, my local public library was my "office." It was a place for me to go in the morning when everyone else was going to work. It helped me set a much needed routine. I would work on my job search or read a book or chat online or surf the bird site (back when it was far less toxic). The VAPL was my happy place at a time when I didn't have much to be happy about. #bookstodon #libraries @VernonLibrary

@yodadamax i noticed that. my sense is that they don't want noise to drown out signal. i'm not involved in running the instance, but i trust the people who are to make the right decisions on that.

He had his MS, k12, complete, except for the final project, which was cancelled, denying him the rewards he worked so hard for. Steve manages our archives and is an assistant producer—audio-Internet broadcasting.

@CL you might choose to have a second account. i'm doing that with a geographically local Mastodon instance. I created a separate email address for that -- and a separate user on my Mac laptop.

Now that I am retired not sure I want to discourse about all the issues of day to day information science. Plus MastoAdmins and moderators should also make an introduction. I can't see any of that so far. So how should anyone from outside judge if this instance is trustworty? Wont boost or recommend until this has been done
