I know in his final weeks Dad expressed how proud he was of me and my accomplishments as a librarian. My own opinion of my career path in #libraryland is less sanguine, but be that as it may, I appreciated that sentiment from Dad. #fathersday

re: evaluating other instances, there are some new ones for libraries popping up, and while that would seem like a good thing, please be sure to read the server rules before signing up. Or recommending them to others.

This one includes "Political conversations" among its no-nos.

A library instance that avoids political conversations smells a lot like the belief in "neutrality" that continues to plague the profession. #cmonson
