Amen. I deleted it all and won't look back.
When I see a timeline with link to the bad place it lowers my opinion of that person and I usually unfollow them.
Twitter has been a game-changing source of connection and organizing for groups all around the world. On both sides. If a sizable portion of the people fighting and organizing for civil rights and basic human decency leave the platform and scatter to the winds (insta, Mastodon, Post, etc) we no longer have that powerful organizing tool, but the people who are fomenting racism, sexism, homophobia, transphobia, ableism, and oppression still do. We are weakened, and they are empowered.
Dear God ~ I left the bird place formally with an altered profile page and pinned tweet to reflect my move to Mastodon. I like it here! Examples here for anyone interested in doing the same.
