@jmb Welcome! Looking forward to learning more about your law practice, peace activism, e-biking and train rides, homeschooling, religious practice, autistic experience, and more!
@jmb We have stuff in common. I became Jewish as an adult, formerly taught History of Christianity at a small seminary back east. Now a rabbi living in CA. Also a #ham: K6RAV. Knitter, poodle person, grandmother of 2. Nice to meetcha.
@adar Wow we do have a lot in common! Great to meet you.

@jmb
Former Oklahoma resident here, also into ebikes, trains, progressive activism, and curious about getting into ham radio! Found your account randomly by looking at the Esperanto hashtag.

Being an Amtrak rider in the non-coastal US can take some patience! Has train service in OK gotten better at all in recent years?

@kirk not really, other than the connecting Thru way bus going north from OKC to Newton, KS, where one can catch the Southwest Chief going west and east.

But the Heartland flyer (OKC-FTW) is pretty reliable these days, but only is once per day each way.

My last long-distance ride from OKC was last spring to Chicago. I left around 8 am and took 1st train to Fort Worth, had an hour or so layover and then caught the Texas Eagle going to Chicago. Arrival the following afternoon.
