Though I was born into a world without the ADA, by the time my disability made itself known, the ADA was there for me. I owe an insurmountable debt of gratitude to my disabled elders for their disability rights activism.
Alice Wong is one of those elders, and her memoir, YEAR OF THE TIGER, is a gift, a testimony to a disabled life well lived and ongoing.

Last year I wrote this op-ed for the Washington Post about the magic I have seen DNA work in this community and why I hoped more people would take advantage of it.
I'm thrilled beyond words that we have an actual pilot program rolling out. Really hoping others will step up to support our efforts and allow us to reach more people. https://www.washingtonpost.com/outlook/holocaust-jewish-genealogy-dna/2021/05/27/af8d21b8-be8d-11eb-b26e-53663e6be6ff_story.html
My new favorite thing about Mastodon:
You can label a content warning however you want. That is kind of amazing.

Dr Tamar Ron Marvin writes wonderful stories about Jewish history. She publishes them on substack with lists of further resources. I'm a total fan. Check out her work at
