my daughter is going to a fancy high school and the student handbook says all incoming 7th graders are required to have a fursona
jokes aside, they do have a very comprehensive handbook and one section is about a mysterious game, "Killer," that is "traditionally played by some members of the community," often involves breaking the law, gambling, and occasionally students getting arrested, and it says playing Killer is strictly forbidden and will be punished severely and all she and i want to do now is play Killer because it sounds incredibly rad
Assassin (game) - Wikipedia

steve jackson had a rulebook for this shit back in 1982 holy cow
@helldude that game is dope we always played at my high school and it got wayyy out of hand
@helldude remember when that poor bastard got targeted by the FBI because they couldn’t tell the difference between actual hacking and rolling a 20 for a critical success?
@helldude Aah (hell)dude it's so fun, we play it at SCA events sometimes
@helldude We played this in college with water guns. Everyone started carrying small ones in their socks and having super soakers in their trunk for drive bys and it was full tilt the most rad shit ever.
@helldude Holy shit, this sounds awesome.
@helldude we played this in my house at uchicago and i won by betraying a good friend, it’s the best
@helldude we used to play back in the day. But holy hell, no way you could get away with it now.
@heurism what is it?? the intentional vagueness just makes it sound cool as hell
@helldude I think at my uni it was called Assassins and it was hella rad.
@helldude I am going to see if I can find out about this. It sounds cool as shit.
A 'Killing' Game at Schools Turns Worrisome

Assassination game and others like it are being played by students at dozens of schools and colleges across US, such as Staples High School in Westport, Conn, where is has become spring distraction; are inspired by 1982 movie, Tag: The Assassination Game, in which college students shoot each other with rubber darts, until one student begins using rubber bullets; some students express concern, in aftermath of shootings at Columbine High School in Littleton, Colo, that left 15 dead; photo (M)
