I had to pick up a package at the post office. As I walked up to the door, I was approached by one of those people paid to collect signatures for possible state props. She asked me if I was in favor of putting homeless people on “some kind of aphrodisiac medicine.” Um...?!

She very earnestly told me that there was a proposal to provide homeless people with aphrodisiacs, and asked if I would sign. I looked down at the paper.

Psychedelics!! The proposal is around making a state commission for psychedelic medicine, probably because the Governor just vetoed decriminalization.

I said pardon, but you have the wrong word? She asked what aphrodisiac meant. I told her it was medicine to make people want to have sex, and she busted out laughing. This was her 2nd day and she had been using the wrong word the whole time. I was the 1st person to say anything. She said, no wonder people had been giving her such weird looks!
