At our dnd session, my friend was bitten by a were rat and is now a were rat.
It was a whole thing and we were very unsure how it would turn out. We discussed having to kill him (while he was "halloooo, I'm right here, I can hear you!") - but everything turned out fine.
He continually said, the rat is a very misunderstood animal. So I crocheted him a rat.

Jen a.k.a. @everything.shapes.us (IG) bade me join the Easy Peasy Scrappy Socks KAL 2026, running now through August 31. I'm certainly not one to resist knitting another pair of pirate socks (knit with leftover yarn).
I used my scraps of colorful self-striping yarn during #ScrapAlong2026 but these solid color remnants should do nicely. They're bound to include some helical knitting.

It's completely finished!
So happy with the result, and I can barely believe the difference wet-blocking made.

Finally finished the left sleeve, which was a lot faster than the right.
Next I need to weave in ends, fix holes and finally block. It may take a while but I'm definitely reaching the end.
I knitted a pair of armwarmers!
I did those at record speed. Usually I need 2 weeks for those, but I did this set in 5 days

Meh. I do say that when you make things from your favorite colors of yarn, that combining the leftovers makes projects gorgeous. There are exceptions. This ribbed cap I'm making for #ScrapAlong2026 just doesn't bring me joy.
I'll frog back into the light beginning half and incorporate this unlabeled thrift store yarn. I think it's Austermann Step in colorway 18 Red Grey.
Nope. I started the crown of the first version but thought "nope" and frogged back to the first stripe. Reknit in narrower, neater stripes, I'm much happier with the result. It's my latest ribbed cap for #ScrapAlong2026, knit from four colorways of leftover fingering weight yarn.
Now i've finished my first ever sock the question of whether to wet block or not to block ...
It's currently a *smidgen* too tight but blocking might makes it just way too big..?
