I was able to graft the wires from an old xbox controller to another xbox controller with that USB-C powered soldering iron I have. The power source was the xtar pb2sl v2 and I put the 2 girthy vapcell f60's in there.

I can't believe that worked out well. I thought it wouldn't melt the soldering wire but nah. I used a 0.6mm 63/37 soldering wire which was cool.

I still haven't forgotten my training after 4 years haha.

Day 2 of the stupidly repaired XTAR PBSL2 V2 and so far no problems. I'm charging a keypad phone with a micro usb port on it right now. Yes, those phones where you have to press buttons to get to a letter

I vaguely remember a shortcut of pressing the "OK" and the "*" button to lock those kinds of phones. Also you can use keypad 2, 4, 6, and 8 when moving around the snake in the Snake game lol

The PB2SL V2 I stupidly fixed yesterday's still working fortunately. I got sum pictures but I'm kinda lazy to pull them from my phone but yeah the thing can now recharge batteries itself and can also charge other stuff though it has trouble charging powerbanks through C to C cables. It gets confused...

I honestly have no idea how it worked but I guess if you're lucky, you can use multimeter probes, 1 li-ion battery inside, and usb a to c cable to fix a non charging pb2sl v2 cos you were stupid tripping the ov protection repeatedly

But yeah I shouldn't celebrate just because it's fixed. It's acting fine right now but it's probably majorly broken and fucked up inside, just like me. Plus the fact that it was an idea I formed after such... thing.

I finally got my own solar panel ! It's small though, claims it's a "10w panel", but I showed my parents some kind of a proof of concept by charging my 18650 batteries with the xtar charger thingies and yeah it works that they started discussing bout solar energy.

Problem is that I'm really short on cash and they're not really funding my interests. They prolly find it stupid, but it's alright.

I kinda wonder if I had nice parents.

After about 20 hours the two Vapcell F60 21700 batteries I got have 6070 mAh and 6113 mAh. Pretty good. I put them on the PB2SL V2 for the real beating tho.

Right now the power bank's pegged at 5.2v 3.4a, which means it's outputting about 17.68 watts to the thing I plugged it in. For such a cute little thing it's outputting more power than the TDP of the CPU in my Fedora laptop, which is just 15w.

It's a little warm now tho.

Got myself two of these today. Yeah I've breached through my "emergency savings" and I guess I can't stop buying batteries. I'll be putting this into the PB2SL V2 that I also got today.

Some cool thing my mum told me that routers could be powered by just a power bank. Some USB C to 12v cable. I mean it is pretty cool.

I put the N40 for a bit on the PB2SL V2 w/ that wire and it works. I guess we won't be having any internet downtime..
