My first trip to Frank Lake was a huge success for me. I got to see my first pelican in person and see how beautiful the lake is. I absolutely love the lake and would be going more often time permitted.

Great Blue Heron
Was thrilled to see him this evening, e ate crayfish looked around a little n curled his neck. Last time I saw him he took off so ℹ quickly pulled back with my lens and was able to catch him in takeoff mode!

Great Blue Heron 06/09/23
Was so excited to see this bird in person. A lifer for me. I was able to take a few quick photos before he was scared off by a dude coming in close with his cellphone and a large BARKING, lunging dog. He was so intent on getting closer to the bird that he tripped on the uneven ground. I thought Rats. He didn’t fall into the scummy pond! Bad Wendy!
