My site is built with #Pelican, but I'm eyeing a change to @stefano's #BSSG.

My site does technically have a little bit of JS (from the theme), but it totally works without it, and in dillo, chawan, w3m, links, and lynx.

(Heck, you can curl the site and manually strip away the HTML/CSS stuff, if you want to. XD

Ich wollte #pelican als #StaticSiteGenerator ausprobieren. Beim ersten Aufruf werden einige Details abgefragt. Unter anderem die #Timezone die ich korrekt mit "Europe/Berlin" angab. Doch es weigerte sich partout dies zu akzeptieren und beharrte auf seinem "Europe/Rome".

Fck off, dann kannste mich kreuzweise … sofort wieder deinstalliert 🤬

I would love to create my blogs with @pelican , but I need a solution for my podcasts. I couldn't find a working solution.

Is there a plugin, that is tested to be working with the latest getpelican.com/ version?

Blog update:

https://blog.hofstede.it now loads zero external resources. Fonts and Bootstrap are self-hosted, the requests to Google Fonts and jsdelivr are gone. All visits stays between the visitors browser and my server.

Also new:
- Full-text search (Pagefind: fully static, no search backend, no tracking)
- Series navigation for multi-part articles
- Older/newer article links
- A proper 404 page

Static sites don't need third parties.

Building out a website for a nonprofit my spouse and I are starting and so torn on platform. Hugo, Ghost.org, or Pelican.

Local website for my spouse and I to promote permaculture and hopefully get some donations through consultations and plant swaps/giveaways. We will heavily lean into content creation to drive traffic as well as just to educate people. Ghost.org is probably out because we're not a magazine and it feels too heavily focused on that but I'm open to hear thoughts and opinions from the #fediverse
